EVENING LOUNGE

While the other rooms of the house are wide open to the garden and the light, the evening lounge surrounds a large fireplace whose shape seems clearly inspired by the marabouts.

It's the room for parties, for winter evenings. There is a piano, Michel's mother's. All the furniture is made of thuja, it's a bit like a Moroccan living room interpreted in his own way by Michel.

Above all, it is the place where he hangs what he calls "his Sunday painting". He painted these pictures for himself. Above all, not to sell them, because painting them, each time, was for Michel, an adventure, an enchanting gestation that created such a strong link between the author and creation, that it then became impossible for him to part with them. They are his children. And to express such wonder, he himself is, obviously, still a child.
